Storage Units

Inspired by the above photograph, I photographed storage units in the upper midwest during the summer of 2022. They're so embedded in the landscape that they are easy to drive past without ever really seeing them.
I've come to realize that collecting is a part of the photographic process I enjoy. That collecting is its own kind of appreciation, even when the thing I'm photographing is something I dislike.
